Empowering Leadership: Mentoring Program at Lead by the Name

At Lead by the Name, mentoring is a structured but organic process based on a strong relationship between two people: the mentor and the mentee. In this relationship, the mentor acts as an encourager, friend, helper, guide, and role model, helping the mentee grow personally, professionally, and spiritually, as a leader.

A Lead by the Name’s mentor brings experience, expertise, and a legacy in a specific area that matches the mentee’s goals. Through careful relationship, the mentor offers wisdom, insights, and practical tools to help the mentee face challenges, improve skills, and reach their the vision that God has given to him.

At Lead by the Name, leadership development is a key part of mentoring. The mentor helps the mentee not only gain knowledge in their field but also develop leadership skills. These include critical thinking, decision-making, emotional intelligence, and vision. By sharing their experiences, the mentor helps the mentee build confidence and competence to lead others with integrity and focus on the mission. This process takes place in an organic environment where mutual learning is key to fostering a healthy and effective mentoring relationship.

Along with leadership growth, the mentoring process at Lead by the Name also covers real-life challenges the mentee faces. The mentor helps not from a place of superiority, but as someone who has faced similar situations and learned valuable lessons. Practical mentoring can include:

  • Identifying and solving problems: Helping the mentee analyze and overcome challenges, such as team management, conflict resolution, or limited resources.

  • Scenario-based learning: Sharing personal experiences and lessons learned from past successes and failures.

  • Creating actionable plans: Helping the mentee set strategies to reach their goals and make healthy decisions.

  • Building good habits: Encouraging routines that increase productivity, resilience, and focus.

  • Developing problem-solving skills: Guiding the mentee in creating their own methods for solving challenges.

While providing direct answers is part of the process, the ultimate goal is for the mentor to encourage the mentee to explore their challenges, learn from them, and make decisions independently. This approach fosters self-awareness, confidence, and a sense of ownership over personal growth, equipping the mentee with the skills needed to confidently face future challenges.

“Trainings programs teach us how to rope and tame the ox,

but when the ox charges, it’s not so simple”

This approach shows Lead by the Name’s commitment to mentoring as a personal, empowering process that blends relational connection, leadership development, and practical application for real life, not just theory.
