Confidence in leadership is rooted in self-awareness, a key trait that allows leaders to grow, adapt, and lead with authenticity. To develop true confidence, leaders must engage in a process of exposure, embarrassment, and established in what you belief. These three steps not only shape a leader’s journey but also deepen their self-awareness, enabling them to lead more effectively.
The first step is to be exposed. Self-awareness begins when a leader willingly steps into the unknown, taking on challenges and responsibilities that test their capabilities. Exposure is a powerful tool for self-discovery, as it forces leaders to confront their strengths and weaknesses. Whether leading a team or tackling a new project, being exposed to diverse experiences fosters growth and deepens understanding of one’s abilities and limitations.
